How We Handle Water Filtration in Carrollton Homes

We test your water before we recommend equipment. We install filtration with parts we can name and explain, and we keep written records of what we found. If a leak or failed housing ever turns into an insurance question, those records give you something solid to work from.

Two technicians seen from behind carry a filter housing and cartridges into a garage with a wall-mounted filter, twin softener tanks, brine tank and UV unit.

Why we start with a test and a notebook

Most water questions start with something you can see, taste or smell: a chlorine note in a glass from the tap, rust-colored rings in a toilet tank, white crust on a shower head. Each one points to a different cause and a different fix. Chlorine taste comes from the disinfectant the utility adds, and activated carbon removes it well. Rust staining usually means iron or corroding pipe, which calls for a sediment or iron stage. Crust is hardness, and only a hardness test tells you whether a softener is worth the floor space.

So we test first. Water testing gives us numbers for hardness, iron, chlorine and total dissolved solids, and those numbers decide the equipment. If the results say an under-sink reverse osmosis unit at the kitchen sink is enough, that is what we tell you.

We also write things down. Every visit ends with notes on what we tested and what we installed, plus model and cartridge numbers and photos of the plumbing before and after. That habit matters most when something goes wrong. A cracked filter housing or a slipped compression fitting can put water on a floor, and an insurer or home warranty company will ask what was installed, when, and in what condition. Dated photos and part numbers answer those questions plainly.

How we handle the work

  • Photos before we touch anything

Before we cut into a supply line, we photograph the main shutoff, the existing fittings and any staining or corrosion already there. You get copies. If a leak shows up later, there is a clear record of what was original and what we added.

  • Plain help with a claim, not promises

If water damage happens near equipment we installed or serviced, we will walk you through what an adjuster usually asks for and hand over our notes and photos. We are not the adjuster and cannot tell you what your policy covers. Your insurer decides that.

  • Parts named on paper

Our written estimates list the housing, the cartridge type and micron rating, the bypass valve and the fittings. You can see what each line does and what it takes to keep it running, including how often cartridges need changing.

  • Softeners only when the test supports one

A softener adds a resin tank, a brine tank, salt and a drain connection. We recommend one only after a hardness test shows your water justifies it.

Where we work

We install and service water filtration in Carrollton and the surrounding cities, including Coppell, Farmers Branch, Addison, Lewisville, The Colony, Plano, Frisco, Richardson, Irving and Flower Mound. Long North Texas summers push household water use up, which loads cartridges faster, so we set filter replacement and maintenance schedules around how your home actually uses water.

Start with what is in your water

Describe the taste, stain or crust you have been seeing, and we will explain which test fits and what follows the results. If a leak has already appeared near existing equipment, we can go over what to photograph and keep before anything gets moved.
